Mask padding question

Hi, i recently bought and FIE mask (brand irrelevant) and decided it need more padding so i have put some padding in from an old bike helmet. Its now super comfy and doesnt shift on my head but I wanted to know, will this still be FIE legal?

You're good. The FIE certification process deals with the strength of the mesh, strength of the bib, and some construction details....the passing has nothing to do with it. Comfort is comfort.

But like Bill said, the strap is becoming an issue. If it's a Prieur, no worries because both ends are sewn into the mask. The Uhlmann types present mroe of a problem, because the strap itself is not sewn in...just one side of the velcro. In that case. sew one fo ther ends to the velcro so it doesn't get lost.

(this is one reason why my mask have the prieur style strap)
