Array Better glove grip I recently bought a glove from BG that fits me great, yet it has no grip whatsoever. I've never had problems with a slippery glove, but then I guess I've never owned one, until now.
I was trying to think of some ways I could improve the grip on the glove. I was thinking some sort of glue, perhaps hot glue drizzled on it, allowed to dry, in order have some sticky grip on there, or some kind of spray-glue. By the way, I'm not suggesting that I'm going to glue the glove to the grip. That would just be silly (or would it???)
Does anyone have any suggestions for a quick, simple way to put some grip surface on my glove? Thanks. -

Array There's a kind of spray for carpets to keep them from slipping around on wood floors. You just spray the bottom of the carpet and allow it to dry, then it will grip.
I've never tried anything like that, so it's just an idea. -

Array I would think that using any kind of spray would be a mixed blessing. Yeah, sure the extra stickiness would help grip the handle, but what if the spray hardens and you have a hard time flexing the glove? You will not win because I will not lose. -

Array Try searching some rodeo supply sites for the resin riders use on their gloves for exactly that purpose. Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you! -

Array You could always buy some grip pad from Wal Mart and sew it/glue it to your pad. A vulture boards an airplane, carrying two dead raccoons. The stewardess looks at him and says, "I'm sorry, sir, only one carrion allowed per passenger." -

This is a good idea (I used to ride bare back). However, be careful as it can get everywhere and is not easily removed. I would think that a light coat would work. -

Array I recently purchased a bunch of "Gripstar" gloves for myself but before that, I used a can of tacky stuff made for golf gloves to improve the grip. Worked great, and when I go home, I will look at the can and post the product name. I'm a foil fencer, and I can change, if I have to, I guess. Similar Threads -
