Shadow Fencer
Fencing Nurses

Just curious...how many of you are nurses? I know of at least 2 on this board.

Were you nurses before you became fencers or fencers before you became nurses?

As for me, I fenced intercollegiately, graduated, took my RN boards, stopped fencing for many years and came back to it last year!

Shadow Fencer,
You can count Jeeves among the nurse/fencers.
I fenced for several years in the 1970's and 80's, stopped fencing in 1982. During those years and until 1995 I was a commercial photographer.
Life was getting a bit to routine and boring so in 1994 I made the change and went back to college and became an RN in 1997.
I returned to fencing in 1999.
Fencing and Emergency room nursing are a double adrenalin rush!

Well, I'm not a nurse, but I've considered becoming one on and off for quite a while. It may still happen. In general I'm fascinated by medical stuff. I've noticed there are a lot of MDs who fence too and I know one of the members of my club used to be an EMT. Interesting anyway.
