| Great, smashed. Our club recently got broken into, either today, or since sunday. All the inside "windows" were smashed, along with doors, stuff stolen and apparently some scoring boxes were destroyed.
OF course, this happened after all the ground level outside windows were smashed in with a hammer about a week ago. It's in 1 of the most crime filled/low income/etc suburbs in the city.. Was only a matter of time
Just felt like sharing with the world.

| That really sucks. Sounds like it's time for bars on the windows.

| Well, it sounds like it wasn't exactly Murph the Surf breaking in. More like moron junkies or teen vandals. I mean, who thinks a fencing club is going to be a big score loot-wise? These guys are more likely to use a rock than a specialized tool, IMO.
What's a bull-cutter, BTW? ( Can't be the thing that first comes to MY mind when I read that! )

| I thought of that, but window bars are kind of thick for bolt-cutters.
I'm sure all will be made clear eventually.

| Dunno about insurance, the place was owned by the local council.
Don't worry Mauler, it's not in the USA.

| I noticed the, "on the other side of the world," bit. Still very much curious as to which city this is....

| Messing with people with swords is pretty dumb. I hope justice is swift and brutal. Get some cheap cameras is my advice... not that you have the money for them now. That really sucks.

| I got the right two wheels on my car stolen last week, if I'd seen them I would have used my swords (and knives and other things) that's for sure.
Good luck with the insurance company and getting everything back and stuff |

Not that you want to keep such things around a fencing club.... It just wouldn't be safe.
