This is a great event; I had loads of fun last year (until running into that walking calamity known as "Seth Kelsey.") Everyone in the area looking for a strong competition, especially in epee, should check it out.

Sorry, Matt, but I won't be attending this year; I'm in New Jersey. Say hello for me to all the NM people that show up, especiall Jack Stafurik and Tom Hill if they're there, please.

You missed a great event. I had a blast and ended up refereeing lots of the semifinals for both foil and epee. Coach Salem always has great turnouts at his events and they really know how to take care of their referees and fencers.

I'm glad it went well. I hope we will be able to see more of them and their fencers during the season.

ACFA fencers had a great time and did pretty well, considering we had a very young team there (except for the 3 old guys). Our top fencers in each event were:

    Senior Women's Epee - Juleah Nusz - 1st place
Youth 14 Mixed Epee - Juleah Nusz - 1st place
Youth 12 Mixed Epee - Derik Nusz - 2nd place
Senior Mixed Foil - Jeremy Bauman - 8th place
Senior Mixed Sabre - Cole Wrampelmeier - 8th place
Under 16 (Cadet) Mixed Epee - Jered Wilkinson - 10th place
Senior Mixed Epee - Cole Wrampelmeier - 11th place

Other ACFA fencers who competed included Calvin Wilkinson, Daniel Ross, David Baker, Chuck Slaughter, Craig Ledford, Bary Nusz.

Many ACFA fencers intend to return for the Falcon Open in October.
