What model and speed was it? The older K62's weren't near as good as the Intels, except maybe the 266mhz

Digging in the thread graveyard...that's what we get for trying to make him Town Historian in Fantasy Land!

Anyhoo...I'm an evil Intel owner. As long as it has buttons, MS Word & I can get online, I'm a happy camper.

Oh yeah, it's gotta be able to play The Sims, my guilty pleasure...

It's okay Marc. I'm a writing geek & happy to be one!

Running an AMD 750 and an AMD 1.4 Ghz, plus a bunch of Intel 200s.

Zero problems with both AMDs. The 750 is a Gateway. The 1.4 is a home-built.

Great chips for the money. Just make sure your MB chipset is compatible and well tested. Stay away from the bleeding edge and you'll be OK.

I agree that the older AMDs were shaky.

Yep, I've been a fan of the ECS motherboards, they've done fairly well with my AMD's.

Hehe, I really don't see myself getting the time to go through all of those threads, but it would be fun if I didn't have a job!

    You really like your fencing.net I see. You've been around for four months and you've got 850 posts for pete's sake! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

That's impressive (or scary ) for such a tiny forum community such as this. The only other place I see that is only board I really hang out, and it's the largest and most active on the net.

Yes, I really enjoy talking or typing about fencing. Also, this is just my personality. I never have a problem speaking up.
