    Letter number one

    Dear latenight-

Recently, I'm very concerned about a friend. She is in a relationship with a man who seems ok, and treats her well, but it seems to be at the expense of the rest of her social life. They are totally wrapped up in each other, and worry about her being so young.

    -worrywart

    Dear Worrywart,

You mention that your friend is young. This behavior is very common in the early dating years. It is just a step in learning how relationships work. Right now the person she is dating IS her social life. Surely you remember your first "true love". Most of all, don't be offended by the behavior. Your friend will need you and all of her friends if and when the relationship ends. Invariably, with time, a balance will be struck between the two aspects of her social life. You should only be concerned if it appears she may be joining a cult or is in danger. Unless it is my cult, because then you should mind your own business. --LN

    Dear Latenight,

There's a real lack of people who are looking for advice. Do you think perhaps they just liked shaking you in the 8-ball thread?

Confused indeed. I thought all letters were supposed to be submitted in the form of a PM.

    Dear Latenight,
I am missing my soul mate. He seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. I miss his text messages and his phone calls.
While I have a boyfriend who I love dearly, this person was special...I would love to know what is going on in his head.
    Thank you
    wondering

    Dear Wondering,

I suspect he is still on this Earth. I also suspect he is more thouroughly evil than he was even then. Given your location I suspect time zones are an issue. But I also suspect his head is open late at night.

    Dear Latenight,

There have been many times where the thought of vengance has crossed my mind. My father was borderline abusive during my childhood, and not just to me, but my siblings and mother as well. Though my parents have been divorced for some years now, there have been times when my father would drive up to our place and demand to see either my sister or my little brother. He has no right for visitation, since my mom put a restraining order on him, and he hasn't paid any child support in my brother's case. If he were to do that again, do you think I can get away with self defense should I go after him with my saber?

    -The Procrastinating Avenger

    Dear Avenger,

I would recommend against direct conflict. While it is satisfying, I think it better to work from behind the scenes to get the desired outcome. Think big mojo. If you are unsure what I mean, just remember that if you will it, it will be. But no faking, you have to KNOW it.
I also discourage you from defining yourself by these events. Dwelling on it and defining your existance by it will ruin you. It will also make others roll their eyes. Things such as this can consume you and make you weak. You are far better to put it behind you and create your future.

    Dearest latenight...

how do i get my hair to have more volume?!?!?

    -Buttercup

Shorter hair styles have more volume by nature (thank you Bravo network). Some product can help. But in your case I see you at your best with just below the shoulder hair. You have too many assets to let this be a concern. You already know you are smoking cute, so don't worry about it!

    Latenight-

Whenever I'm confused about an important decision in my life, I always ask someone I've never met to tell me what to do. Is this a good idea?

    in the forums

    In the forums,
Sometimes an objective opinion is good. Sometimes they are not as objective as they may seem. I would be careful where I got the advice from. On second thought, I wouldn't ask for advice. It's not like I would take it anyways

    Dear Latenight-

There is this super hot guy who plays floorball and fences a little. I keep trying to convince him to come to a tournament so that I can bask in his hotness for a while, but he just won't budge! How can I convince him?

    Quietly Lusting

    Dear Quietly Lusting,
Floorball and fencing, huh? I believe Peter G is married so you may be out of luck there.....

I think the best results can be obtained by emailing pics to magificentbastards@yahoo.com. LOL

    Dear Latenight,

Whenever I go out to my favorite bar, lots of hot, young women come on to me. The only problem is, every time the song changes on the jukebox, they want $20. So my question is this... How can I make lots of money fast without working much?

    Going Broke Fast

    Dear Growing Broke Fast.
This is truly a timeless problem. I recommend getting a job in which you get a corporate credit card. Playing music for customers is a very legit expense. You will find that most "jukebox bars" provide a non-itemized receipt with the name of the facility's restaurant name on it rather than the name of the actual establishment. For example, The Dollhouse becomes "Vinny's Steak House". No company will begrudge you getting a meal while on the road. Two additional things to be aware of: Glitter is a ***** to get off and, if you are in a relationship, it is unwise to take the two songs and a tshirt for 20 bucks option. Those Tshirts often turn up in the laundry, and many girls don't like it when their guy listens to jukebox music. --LN

I'm beginning to wonder if the "Reflecting" part has to do with the mirrors on his ceiling. As for the god part... what else would the women be saying but "Oh God?"
