    Information on Vladimir Smirnov?

I'm trying to do a project on Him, does anyone know of Vladimir Smirnov's biography or where i might be able to find information regarding his life?

If so please email me at SaCampbelljr@gmail.com with the subject Vladimir info
and the first person to successfully provide ACURATE information, i will reward with 10 dollars via paypal. this is not a scam/hoax, and if you don't believe me then it's as simple as helping me without asking for the reward (no sweat off of my back).

    Thanks in advance,
    Stephen Campbell

It's not much, but here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vladimi...rovich_Smirnov

Also, Him? Capital H? When Smirnov died, did he (He?) transubstantiate?

You might want to pick up Sergei Golubitsky's biography, Fencing is My Life. Smirnov was Golubitsky's hero growing up, and I'm sure there's information about him there.

It seems in rather bad taste to use his name as your screen name.

Contact Mr. Sergei Golubitsky at his web-site: www.gfc.world.com.
As a former Russian-trained fencer, Mr. Golubitsky will be your best avenue regarding Smirnov's life.

No charge, thank you very much.

Yes, because multiple time world champions LOVE to be contacted directly about their dead idols - especially, when the inquiring mind belongs to a kid doing a high-school project.
    Take your time. Read carefully.

Because your profile states that you were born in 1980?

I've met him and saw him practice some time around '79 ... I was 8 or 9 at the time, so don't remember a whole lot. I remember first hearing about the accident though - it was a huge shock.

Highschool...college...prison laundry, wherever I don't get a kick out of doing other peoples' research for them. It's a pretty vital skill to have.
