| metal strips Hi, I see there are some rather old discussions about metal pistes, and I was hoping there might be some newer information out there. Our club would like to make some ourselves. Can anyone tell me if they've had a good or at least reasonable result doing this at their club? So far we've discussed using aluminum sheet goods..... |

| I can't help with your particular question, but you'll probably get a lot more responses if you ask in the armory forum.

With regards to your question I'd suggest dropping a PM to "Jason" (use the search function to find any of his posts). NAFA, his club, has some nice pistes from a non-traditional supplier (ie not a fencing vendor) that I'd recommend as looking like a very nice option.
edit: This is the Jason I mean.

| I believe that CFC (Candlewood Fencing Center) has non-fencing metal strips...
From what I can tell they are pourous aluminum (this is just a guess)...But they are like 2x2 panels or so, that are all connected to make strips.
Not sure if we have any CFC people on the board, if we do, talk to them.
Have you tried straight up googling it?
Also, this thread should be moved to the armoury section.

Hell, any athletic shoe loses support in 4-6 months anyway, at which point you're really better off getting another pair.
