| Snakes on a Plane! Just a reminder that it's coming out on the 18th, and that you can now log on to the official SoaP website and send your friends a "personalized" Samuel L. Jackson voicemail about why they should see it with you. It's pretty damn funny!

I was wondering how anyone would know my name and that I had a sister named Mary, and why the message came to me at work! One of my clubmates, I surmise . . . they don't have my home number.

. | Its overt lameosity is the reason for its awesomeitude.
Really, though, several months ago information about the film was leaked to the public and kicked around by forum geeks of all sorts. The ridiculousness of naming a film "Snake on a Plane", and having a storyline centered around snakes on a plane ellicited many months worth of giggles, parody posters and humorous t-shirts. The anticipation of something which we all 'know' is going to be a horrible attempt at entertainment somehow makes people excited when they hear it's about to come out.

True enough. But I doubt it was "leaked". More likely an exercise in viral marketing. |

| I'm sorry, but I just can't take a movie with that title seriously. Not now, not yesterday, not 5/apple/26 years in the future. Nope. Not going to happen.

| I don't think you're supposed to take it seriously.

| Well I'm guessing that was the original plan, at least for the moviemakers. However I, and the rest of the viewing public, will only be seeing it for sheer hilarity. Don't forget the incredible CGI and top-notch acting. |

| Please note that in the trailer, S. Jackson fights off the snakes with a HARPOON GUN. On a plane. I'm not lying. Apparently the NTSB has relaxed its safety standards.
This may approach Wild Zero* levels of terribleness. I've already made plans to see it
*Wild Zero is a Japanese pulp horror flick see http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0267116/ |

| People will watch this movie to hear SLJ say his favorite 12 lettered word.

| You know, it's not really as funny when you realise that maybe the movie people are smarter than we thought, and it is actually meant to be funny. |

| The concept was originally "Squirrels on a Bus," with Wilford Brimley in his debut action-adventure lead role.

| So what did everyone think? It was a lot more graphic than I thought it would be....which made it sooo much better. I have never enjoyed myself more at a movie than at this movie.

| just got back.
I'm glad the movie makers realized it was stupid, and rolled with it.
They hit every airplane disaster movie cliche, and invented a few new ones. This film is sure to be a cult classic. |
