| No offense taken. I'll be the first to admit I'm long winded, for some reason especially on this board, despite my inexperience for the most part as a fencer. I put that on my sig. for precisely that reason. Unfortunately, as my clubmates will tell you, I'm like that in RL too. If they need anyone to talk to someone about fencing, they immediately call me to do it. After going to the NACs out here everyone I met for the next few days got a complete play-by-play of what I did, who I met, what I saw and so on. I don't know, I guess us intellectuals just like to hear the sound of our own voices.
For more on that topic, my family always knew when I was sick as child because first I was very quiet--granted a bad sign with any child--and second I actually wanted to take a nap. Yes, I was one of those kids who slept a total of maybe eight hours between birth and two years. My parents say it wasn't really that I was always fussy, I was just awake. It makes me scared for when I have kids of my own.

| Now I'll be brief for once and demonstrate my ability to be obnoxious in German, at least in part--I hope. First the German equivalent of the English phrase "The early bird gets the worm",
Morgen stund hat Gold im Mund.
Then here's the response for those, like yours truly, who are definitely not morning people and do not particularly like them either:
Morgen stund hat Blei im Arsch.
(essentially morning people will be shot you-know-where).
Later I'll post a poem combining two of my interests: German and cats.

| Catlady thanks for posting some German. My German has become really poor (I did it at High School) and I haven't spoken any since I was 16-17 on a trip to Austria. I won't offend any Germans by presuming to post in my limited German but it was great to read some again and find out I can still comprehend a lot of what I read (bodes well for my aility to pick it up next time I'm in a German speaking country). |

| "Exit stage left" is a command taken from theater lingo, i.e. "To exit to the left side of the stage", not "The exit is to the left". |

| Then I believe it would be: "Sortie, a gauche."
