| Epee as the last event to start on Monday, meaning since I can't see any flights after 6:35PM I will probably have to leave on Tuesday. |

| Hi KD5MDK or anyone,
Where are the starting times for events listed? I've been considering going to the NAC epee II, which is on Sunday, and I'm trying to figure out if I can get out on the 6:35 flight or if I should wait till Monday morning to fly out. Can anyone help me out?

Tomas | Event times aren't usually posted until after regular registration is closed which for the Memphis NAC is Sept. 8. Until then all that is available is the pound sign beside events that have close of check in before 10:00 AM.
Div II ME doesn't have a pound sign beside it. |

| Sunday I wouldn't recommend a 6:35 flight, unless you think you're going to do not so well. Imagine close of registration is at 1. Probably take half an hour to do the final seeding, print and post pools, etc. Then an hour and a half of pools.
Then a half hour or more for the seeding of the DE tableau. That makes it 3:30 and we haven't even started DEs or had any major delays because of strip availability, assignments, etc. You'll want to leave for the airport by 4:30 (leave one hour to get there, and one hour to check in) even if the security level isn't elevated, so unless you go out in the first hour of DEs, you'll be looking at a black card and having to leave before you've lost, because of your flight. |

| The USFA website is down right now but when it is up you will see that the daily event schedule for Memphis has been officially posted. Dan and Christine were very responsive when I pointed out that an update was needed. |

Separate note: Tool- At least some referees have been confirmed. I don't know if it's the entire list, the first pass to get yes/no confirmations back before additional rounds, etc.
(I suspect the latter, rather than the former)

| How About Albuquerque? Anybody have inside information about the schedule of events for NAC B? That would be very nice to know right about now, when plane fares are still looking fairly attractive ... |

| *snort* Timely information out of the Tournament Committee? You must be joking.
Still, try emailing info@usfencing.org and asking to forward your request to the TC to get a move on.

EVERYONE HIT YOUR EMAIL... There are some great rates out there for richmond and tuscon right now... and ohio as well... but you dont want to get a flight/hotel deal across town on the wrong date for your event. THAT is asking for trouble. OK... so its not in stone. Ill bet $10 right now that the hotel contracts are signed and they have an idea of the event days....

I just booked the Marriott and the flight on Orbitz and saved $700 (for 2 people to Memphis) by booking hotel+air. This was a week ago. Just specify the hotel you want and you get the same rate (or better) as the tournament housing company. I also just started using Kayak.com and that's a cool site as well.
I am with everyone else. I DO wish they would let us know the schedules at least a month and a half in advance. Its hard enough planning around school schedules, etc. AND trying to save a buck or two on airfare.
But since no one has made me queen of the world yet, I can't run up there and organize the office and get things running smoothly. |

| NAC B Schedule - Y14 in between Cadet and Jr.??? I have a son who can't miss school more than he needs to. He's 14 Y.O. but if he had a choice, he'd fence Cadet and Jr. But NAC B schedule has Y14 in between Cadet and Jr. so he'd have to miss Thurs. AND Mon. since Cadet is Fri and Jr. is Sun. Is it just me or does this pose a problem for other 14 Y.O. boys too? Would complaining to USFA make a difference as it did for the Summer Nationals??? |
