Different country FIE colors/logos on uniforms How would I get another country's FIE logo on a uniform?
I am buying a full kit as a gift to someone special; also, since I have emotional/Confucian filial piety ties to the country my family emigrated from I'd like to get that country on my new kit as well.
How do I go about this?

Fatfencer I would contact that country/nations governing body and ask. At least here in Sweden, when I buy the 'flags' for my breeches I buy them from the Swedish Fencing Federation.
I'm sure you know already, but a list of national fencing federations can be found at the FIE website. Choose nation from the drop-down menu.
Best of luck!
(And lucky that 'someone special', a full kit -- wow! ) -

Array It might help if you said what country as there are many fencers from outside the US/Canada on the board. A vulture boards an airplane, carrying two dead raccoons. The stewardess looks at him and says, "I'm sorry, sir, only one carrion allowed per passenger." -
One is Korean and the other is France. Can anyone maybe ship the pattern to me? I haven't had a chance to talk with Marx Enterprises either.

Fatfencer Your intentions are commendable but the way of showing it is questionable. Can you do it in a way that is different from the way fencers from that country do it? Perhaps on a warmup jacket.
Someone might consider that you are doing it in a way that is disrespectful or that you are pretending to be a representative of that country.
And would you be on the strip with USA on your back and another country's logo on your knickers?
France has a stylistic design. Your wearing a French flag on your knickers would connote a connection with France without it implying that you have represented France internationally.
I have heard that France is very diligent in not letting their official warmups be used by anyone else. They might feel the same way about their official fencing logo.
What would ZZ or Gav think about your showing up with their national colors on your knickers? Whoopee! My avatar is back. -

And would you be on the strip with USA on your back and another country's logo on your knickers? I agree. It's like showing up at a tournament with a club patch on from a club you've never fenced with.
On a related note, you could always wear that country's flag as an arm patch. I sometimes think of wearing the backwards American flag on my non weapon arm (right arm, so it makes sense to be backwards) to show my contractually obligated loyalty. That would make a statement without stepping on anyone's toes. Similar Threads -
