| I just read a review in today's newspaper, and they gave it 2 of 4 stars. That's actually good for this specific reviewer. I plan on seeing it this weekend, and expect to be blown away with the animation. |

| Hell, it got 2 Thumbs Up from Ebert & Roeper.
Normally, they give 2 thumbs down for any movie I would enjoy, so I was highly surprised. Supposedly, the story is good, and the animation even better. As a computer graphics guy, the graphics alone are enough for me to want to see it.

| I saw the movie.
If you are into CG stuff, then this movie is a must see; otherwise, this movie has a weak story.
3.5/5.0 is what I would give to this movie. |

| well thanks for all the reviews.. i think that i will have to go see it..
gotta love the fact that it was all done on computers.. don't know why. but somehow it just makes the movie cooler to think about while your watching.. that many hundreds of hours in a rendering farm.. wow.. |

| Saw it tonight....
I agree (partially) with Dark Transient. I wouldn't call the story weak, but it certainly was NOT a strong story.
The animation was AMAZING!!!!!!!!
I suggest you all see it, as you will be blown away by the graphics, and the story really isn't that bad. |

| After reading the reviews here I may not see it. I've been waiting to see this for ages (and I won't get too see it till August) but if it's just another effects vehicle then why bother?
I've just seen Shrek and it was one of the most enjoyable films I've seen in a while - v. funny. It's amazingly well animated but also has a really good script (even if the central narrative is a tad weak). It's obviously possible to do a decent effects laden movie with a passable script so why not do this more often? |
