| Zelda,
In my choir, the basses stand behind the altos. Does your havoc involve beans by any chance?

| Not quite Chris....though the basses stand next to us due to the fact the tenors sing the 2 part pieces with the sopranos. We were actually thinking of just mouthing the words and making him sing by himself against the 8 sopranos and tenors. (There are only 4 altos/basses).

| i don't understand german, but some of my people were from germany. i have some friends in germany. it's really changed a lot. a friend of my, a black man from my temple went to germany and spend about a month there hanging around some of the people there. they had a great time, he chanted with them every day. the young people there are very sensitive to their history and make efforts to change that. many very talented people hail from germany, and another girl that i remember from germany is a concert pianist, i feel that germany should be viewed differently, the way america is, or like many other nations. with good people, and others all mixed in the same bag. |

| I agree, Germany should not be viewed in a worse light than anywhere else. That said, they do certainly have their cultural quirks, like every other country. To some extent, from what I've gathered, Germans are almost more sensitive than average to discrimination.
I must have missed the part where someone disparaged them. It wasn't me, since my mother's side of the family is entirely German of one persuasion or another.

| I wasn't sure how germans were brought up either, but I think it's just because we were talking about rammstein, maybe? |

| My great great great grandmother's maiden name was Hershe, as in Hershey!!! They were German or Dutch (I've already forgotten!)
We had a German exchange student in High School my senior year, talk about a brain! They are pretty sensitive thanks to Herr Hitler.

| These are wonderful.
You know you're in a fencing family when even the kids try to access the "fake fight" scenes in any movie with swords.

It suddenly seems like a wise decision to buy a $1500 scoring machine for home use.

| You know you're a fencer when in your mind being carded has little or nothing to do with attempting to purchase alcohol.

| You know you are a fencer when...
You are willing to drive 10 hours to the closest fencing store in the state, to shop for clothing and shoes.
(Yes, I did this.)

| Wow!!! I didn't realize they moved so very far away from where they originally were.
Did all his people come with him on that move? I am guessing that since Vikki has the same last name, that she's a spouse or sibling.

There were a few fouled up orders, but that was 'cause he had some new people. They're getting back to speed now.
The joy for me is, if I get a really large movie order, I can always drive down and pick it up...it's only about 2 hours away. |

| Actually, this was before I met or even knew Saul. I drove from San Diego to San Francisco's American Fencers Supply. I remember that trip...
In any case, you are correct. Saul and Vicki are here in San Diego, and it is MUCH easier to get to. Vicki is the wife and if memory serves, he has a couple of epee fencers helping him on weekends.
