Array The Princess of um... well actually, I guess my coach just calls me that to annoy me Hi. I've been fencing for about two years. I compete as often as I can, and have been for more than half of that time. I was recently injured and couldn't fence for a few months, but now I'm back and trying to get back in shape. Since the season's pretty much over for me, I've been going over all my equipment and fixing and cleaning it. I stumbled across this site in the process of trying to figure out how to clean my lamé. And that's pretty much all the information I'll give out on the internet. -

Array Your mention of "lamé" narrows it down to two weapons (unless you are REALLY confused about epee). Which do you fence?
What was your injury?
Welcome to the boards. "...But that doesn't mean that sabreurs aren't fun. They are, and tend to be better kissers as well which is more than reason enough to take my coach's advice and hang out with the sabreurs my age." - WP (best coach advice ever) -

Array To answere your questions I fence foil. And there were a couple of injuries. A couple of years ago I had some really tough coaches in other sports, and I ended up with repetitive stress stuff in my back and knees mostly. What put me out of action was tendonittus (sp?) in both my knees and my right wrist (I'm right handed). I spent a couple of months taking it easy, and just about a month and a half not fencing (or doing anything else) at all except for my crazy amounts of physical therapy, (two and a half hours three times a week). Thanks for the tips about good posts! Similar Threads -
