    Hi from Colorado NCF.

Hello everyone. I'm from Boulder County Colorado. I have been taking fencing lessons for a few years now at Northern Colorado Fencers (NCF). Gary Copeland and Brian House have been two of my coaches. They are great coaches, and through their teaching I have advanced much quicker than I ever could have on my own.

It's also been great getting to have bouts with the NCF team members, who are all quite obliging to test the blade of a relatively casual fencer like myself.

Anyway, I don't know how many on here know about NCF, but I do hope to stay on here and learn more about the Sport of Fencing from everyone here and of course, just to talk.

Hi, welcome to the forum! Do you know a fencer out there named Dan Rees? He's a pal of mine.

EDIT: And just about all of us know about NCF and Gary Copeland. It's one of the most prominent clubs in the country (and Gary one of the most prominent coaches.)

    Thanks for all the welcomes!

I don't think I know someone at the club named Dan Rees. Is he a regular fencer? Because one time there was a coach (I forget his name) from the Boulder CU fencing club that would come to NCF. He taught a class to his students there.

It does feel interesting to have a guy like Jimmy Moody or Nick Chinman fencing at the club.

I chose the name Gamling from Lord of the Rings. Tolkien was a big fan of Norse Mythology.

I hear there is a movie version of Beowulf coming out.

Seriously? Sounds sweet. Do you know actually when it's coming out?

Dan's been fencing rogue for awhile. I think he's still unattached.

I don't have enough confidence in the team to challenge that, but at least some of us will be able to watch first hand!

    Well, they lost it.

Too bad. It spoiled my pizza night, but the pizza wasn't spoiled, I was.
