Array Hi! Welcome to the sport and the forum; fencing is a great way to get/keep in shape, and though I don't know much about the scene in southern ontario, any club in the area would probably be happy to have you come check out what they've got, and I would be highly skeptical of any club that didn't let you do so.
Also, check out the CFF's (Canadian Fencing Federation) website at www.fencing.ca. "If I were ever to challenge you to a duel, your best bet would be battle axes in a very dark basement." Misquoted from The Prisoner
"Technical excellence is the antecedant of tactical creativity." - Nat Goodhartz

Array Canadian Fencing Academy, Oakville
Oakville Fencing Club, Oakville
Excelsior Fencing Club, Kitchener
McMaster Fencing Club, Burlington
Mississauga Fencing Club, Mississauga
OMPA Fencing Club, Milton
University of Waterloo Fencing Club, Waterloo (though you may have to be a student)
Westdale Fencing Club, Hamilton
These are probably closest to you. If you wanted to go further afield, there are several around the Toronto area and two in London.
You can find them all at the Ontario Fencing Association website: http://www.fencing.on.ca/directory/
Good luck! Nothing is more frightening than ignorance in action. Similar Threads -
