Enter the curmudgeon, stage left.

Firstly---welcome to the board.

Secondly---did you know that back when it was still in use employing the second person singular ( thee, thou, thy ) to those with whom one was not on intimate terms of friendship or familial relationship was considered overly familiar and perhaps a bit condescending? And that it might be taken by a stranger to verge on insulting?

I know you don't mean it that way, of course. Just saying.

Exit the curmudgeon, with fanfare.

Only if there are more than one and all or several are exiting.
And it's spelled "exeunt."

Here's the Hi-Larious part: I actually looked up the spelling, because it didn't seem correct and entered the correct spelling as the search term, but never corrected the post! I also thought I remembered it being used singularly without the omneum (sp? not bothering...) but I've already demonstrated I need to hone my intellect today...

Inq: In the interest of further blunting poor Occam's hatchet today, you should've put in some directions eg: (Cue SFX: Bongo Running Clip) as I completely missed that allusion. Snagglepuss' particular dialect is also difficult to get accross on the forum. Add to that the unusual circumstance of you making reference to something as recent as the 20th century...
