Secondly---did you know that back when it was still in use employing the second person singular ( thee, thou, thy ) to those with whom one was not on intimate terms of friendship or familial relationship was considered overly familiar and perhaps a bit condescending? And that it might be taken by a stranger to verge on insulting?
