| This proves how thoroughly fencing has invaded my life. I watched Return of the Jedi tonight and there's one scene where Vader and Luke are engaged in six. Basically Vader's trying to press Luke away, Luke is trying to push in. I kept yelling, "For heaven's sake, Luke, disengage". I even had to demonstrate what he should have done after the movie was over. I am sad indeed.

| I'd say that they picked up the fencing a bit in EP II, anyone else impressed?

With the fencing? Not really. It was fun movie, although it looked like a cartoon half the time with all the digital effects.
If it wasn't a Star Wars movie I probably would have hated it. But, it was better than EP I.

| I have to concur with Achilleus here. I did not think that the fencing in EP II was as good as I thought it would be from the comments I had read on this board.
I did not see anything even closely related to western fencing.

There was on shot of a classic lunge. One of the unnamed Jedi thrusted and lunged in the background during the 'gladiator' battle.
But that was about it.
