    Auspicious re-start to fencing

    Well I started fencing again tonight, first thing I got was a black eye during warm up....lesson learned, DONT WEAR GLASSES when playing soccer!
    Theses are evil....VERY evil, someone rescue me pls!

    Or playing basketball, for that matter. Unless you have the polycarbonate sports specs.

    I learned this lesson after having my glasses knocked off during a warm up game of basketball( nearly taking my nose with them) and watching them miraculously spin unharmed across the floor amid countless stamping feet.

    Heidi, dont worry, it makes sense eventually!
    Eye update - Its not black just swollen below the eyebrow and tender to touch.

    Well... ::scratches head:: If you mean that you play soccer as a fencing warm-up, then it makes sense... but... but... then wouldn't you have to warm up before going into your warmup? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

    Good luck Zelda! Yeah, I played about 4 years of soccer with glasses. I think I had that happen to me. Contacts are a gift from heaven, I'm telling you. Anyways, have fun getting back into the ways of fencing!

    I might try a new club out tomorrow... And be a damn sight more careful during warm-ups.
