    Nationals Setup!

Well, day 1 is complete. I was there and I would like to thank everyone who helped.(where was the rest of the division? we dont know...)

We setup all but 6 strips, 54 out of 60, and have everything ready to go to tape down floor cords and get scoring machines up in running. The venue looks great. There is a elevated strip in the middle by the BC for finals of every event(It was hilarous because we origionally put down a PBT strip because they told us to. Then they told us we had to put a BG strip there, so we put down a BG strip, but since the PBT strips had a longer run off they werent centered, so we had to rebuild a strip there 3 times).

We should get things done with time to spare tomorrow, woohoo!

    Im tired... sleepy time.

Thanks for your efforts. The local volunteers all too often go unsung. Or at least insufficiently sung.
Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you!

60 strips! Wow. That's really great that they are increasing the number of strips they normally have. Hopefully, *crosses fingers* that will help avoid lengthy delays. See you there!

Major thanks to you and all the other volunteers. I'm always impressed with how much STUFF has to be set up for Nationals... and it doesn't just magically appear!

Don't hold your breath. Desipite having even more strips than last year, the rumor is that we're still going to be in a deficit situation at times, as amazing as that sounds!
That's it, I'm done with the discussion forums on F.net. It's had its uses, but the ideologues, ranters, and "experts" have drowned too many of the conversations. I'm changing my password to something random and never logging in again.

Having calculated some event numbers from the entry lists, I think that we will be severely negative strips for several days in the later part of the tournament.
