Array Against Don Anthony???
I like Josh, and he's a good fencer. But I think this is a mountain too high.
I do expect he'll be in the top 3, though.
My V40MS slate:
1. Anthony
2. Runyan or Becker
3. Becker or Runyan
4. Logatchov
5. Meagher
6. Houle
7. Hicha
8. Barbour
V50MS:
1. Mormando
2. Korfanty
3. Jacobson
4. Yung
5. Streb
6. Paragano
D1AMS:
1. Baker
2. Bak
3. Worsham
4. Runyan
5. Cheney
6. Prilutsky

I do expect he'll be in the top 3, though. Well, he's been pretty sharp in practice lately. I'd agree that's a good bet. -

I fenced Don in March 2005 and he was very rusty. If he has been fencing steadily then I expect him on top. Originally Posted by Inquartata V50MS:

What about Dick Richard? I like Mormando in top 4 but not on top.
This is the event where you are quite likely to see a tie for World Vets team. And then the squawking will start about the unfortunate tie-breaking method dictated by Paul Levy.
Prediction: Next year you may see fencing for 3rd place in Veterans qualifiers. Peach, bring it up at the Veterans meeting. Originally Posted by Inquartata 1. Baker

Vet60MS
1. Apostol
2. Sexton
3. Volkman
3. Sbarbaro
But only 3 of them will make the team because Larry Pinkus is already locked in. Although he isn't fencing, two bits says he is there watching. Whoopee! My avatar is back. -

[...] I don't think Logatchov can fence it. Is he PR or US citizen now? And how about Milne? -

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how Max Dettlinger qualified for Div 1 ME? I didnt think he had points.....

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. And from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. Dinosaurs nuzzling their young in pastures where strip malls should be. Cookies on dowels. Max got second in DivIA last year and if I recall correctly its something like top 4 or top 8 out of DivIA auto qualify for Div1 (similar rules for those who place high in Div II and Div III)
Cadet ME: Gegan, Dolezal, Mo, Parker in top 8 I want to say Gegan wins but I am not really sure.
Junior ME: Smith, Vaksman, Sulat somewhere in top 8 I'm thinking Dwight will win it though
DivI: Solomon, Bratton, Kelsey, Thompson all seem safe to put up there.
may have butchered the spellings on some of those names sorry -

Array Oh yeah.......
Thanks.
He's in over his head...... "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. And from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. looking down the list there are a couple people without points signed up. I may be a little biased since I'm from the same club as he is but I don't think its a bad idea. He already has his A, there isn't a large number of people there (higher chance of making points), and Max is certainly capable of doing well in tournaments it just seems like theres some part of his style that works or it doesn't. -

In a manner similar to your "What against Anthony..." I'm forced to wonder what? Baker, Bak, Cheney the younger (apparently the younger is no where to be found?), and Dan Bak I can see...but where did Runyan and Prilutsky come from? Haven't bothered to look at the entry lists for 1A (b/c really it's 1A so it's relatively unimportant outside of the 8) but I can't see a reason for Ziechmann to not be up there (regardless of that talk about his style he has put up the results). Really, why not put Bill Becker up there before Stan or yourself really?
Hmmm lets try these in no real order:
Baker
Rudnicki
Ziechmann (one or the other, not both)
Worsham
Bak
...grab bag, pick three:
Zach Jones
Thomas Abend
Torian Brown
Chris Cheney
Askari or Shrimohammadi (having good days)
random person that happens to be in tournament and gets an easy path through DEs I now dangle to the left....my tassle. Get your minds out of the gutter.
