| How bout "Crossed Swords"?
Or "F-ing A"
And let people use their imagination. . .
I'd like to hear the bout committee to call for that.

| Not sick, really, AV. More like... juvenile and sophmoric. We aren't offended or sickened by the content of the joke so much as stuck by the fact the fact that it is crude and unfunny. You can get laughs from such references if you're clever about them, but just saying "you poke them in the asshole" is honestly just kind of dumb. You can do better.

| I've decided the club will be called the 'Caldera Fencing Club' a 'Caldera' is a collapsed Volcano, so I get to have lava in the club patch!
Just wanted to let you know what the final decision was.
Thanks for all the help! |

| Theres a historical fencing studio called "Iron Door Studio". http://www.historicalfencing.com/
Thats pretty nifty.
('Iron Door' -'Porta Ferro'- is also the name of one of the guards in the italian longsword tradition) |

| Like, for instance...The Strip Club? Or Epeeton Place?
My modest suggestion: Salle Inquartata. ( AKA the 10th circle of Hell. )

Thanks for all the help! | Okay... I asked someone once why this club was called Caldera saying, "So, is this fencing club in the middle of a blown up volcano, because that'd be pretty cool..." The person I asked wasn't sure why the club was called that, especially since it's supposedly in a pretty nice little town (never seen the place). I had still wondered, but I guess now I sort of have an answer! My only problem with the owners reasoning is that a caldera is the crater left over after the volcano has erupted... wouldn't all the lava be cooled at that point?

| P.S.- I think this is a very cool name for a fencing club regardless! And it shows quite a bit of creativity compared to the names of most clubs... props to whoever thought it up!

| Since it's necro'd anyway I just want to say there was(is?) a club around here with the improbable name of "Salute En Guard Ready Fence Academy", or SERFA.
I'd like to state that this is NOT a good name for a club. Also mixing French and English is silly as is not using all the letters in the acronym, so it really should have been SOGRFA or SEGPAA, either of which is an even worse name for a club.
