I think most decent foil refs have developed a feel for "who intended" the blade contact, and if you didn't intend it, you probably shouldn't get credit for it. (Of course, if your opponent parried himself accidentally, as just described, I'll more not give him credit than I will not give you credit, to put it very awkwardly.)
