| drug test retrieval? I know that if you come into the top 8 at any nat'l/int'l event, they like to make you pee in a cup. Anyone know if its possible to call up USFA and have them fax a copy of the test to you? |

| Not sure if you can get the exact results...but you do get a nifty sticker from the USADA to put in your drug test folder, should you pass.
Should you fail the test, the new USFA High Performance Guru kicks down your door in the middle of the night, and teaches your parrot 12 perverted phrases in Old Latvian.
Don't say you haven't been warned.
That being said, I'd try writing to the USADA with the copy of the printed materials you get from your "deposit", and ask for the breakdown of the test results.

| (laughing)...while the test is administered at NAC and other events, the US Anti-Doping people actually control the results, I believe. You would need to contact them for any "print-out" of a test, if such a thing exsists. |

| Well, I passed it, but having a copy of the test saying "bunbury passed" would help me out with something else... |

Do they do it for the other competitions as well (e.g. Div IA/II/III?)

| Indeed it is. Each sport's international body determines what substances are banned, and the FIE adopts the whole of the banned substances list provided by the world anti-doping association. A list of the prohibited substances for 2006 can be found here: http://www.wada-ama.org/rtecontent/d.../2006_LIST.pdf |

| oh........do they give a legitimate reason as to why it is banned, since it's not performance enhancing?

No, there probably isn't any good reason for testing for it, but institutions seem to like that it's in place. Most drug testing is just PR stuff.
But not to worry, they still don't have a test for HGH. Your spade-like hands will lead you to a gold medal. |
