| Your income pay schedule How often do you receive a paycheck, or what's the general schedule for your personal income? ((Edit comment: Darn it, yes -- I did forget to include the once-a-week option. Sorry.))
As odd a question as this seems for a fencing forum, it does involve a weak tangent for discussion: How many of your "last-minute" decisions to attend an event hinge on whether you're getting paid that weekend? I expect this is less of an issue for the elite-level athletes and long-range planners who work toward certain major events, but it might be a deciding factor for more middle- and low-income common folk (or those of us who "budget" from moment to moment).

| I get paid twice a month (15th and 30th(31st/28th/29th)) of each month... It doesn't generally effect a decision for that weekend, because i try not to spread myself so thin that i can't afford to do what i want to do when i want to do it... if i find my money running short, i cut back on smaller things over a longer period of time to solve the problem (i.e. alcohol while out at dinner is a common thing i cut out, because it does add up pretty quickly).

| once a month.
Seems to be quite common this way in the UK.
In Australia it was fortnightly, every 2nd thursday meaning friday or something |

| I try to plan my calendar for the entire season (once the section announces dates and cities for our circuit), and set some vague sense of personal accounting accordingly. It's important, too, for asking the boss for days off for travel and other prep. Doesn't always work out that way, though. |

| May I say the poll is flawed?
I get paid every two weeks, but not on certain dates of the month. IOW, I receive 26 paychecks yearly.
It doesn't affect attendance. I am an older fencer with years of establishing credit and have plastic. |

| The most common here is to get paid once a month.
Usually it's on the 25th, although some companies (such as Volvo for instance) chose to pay their employees on the 27th.

| Attendance at tournaments is more a function of work and associated travel than finance. I'll be wheels up for Tokyo and Beijing while my events are being run in Atlanta for instance. Not that I would stand a chance of winning anything in Atlanta, but I guess that is the same for 99% of the people attending!

| I need a once a year catagory. The Wisconsin State lottery board sends out their yearly check in February. It is sometimes hard to budget the 1.61 million for an entire year.
