| Is it O.K. to bend the tang on blades that have already been used? Is it a really bad idea to take blades that are 2 or so months old and try to bend the tangs on them? In other words do you think they will break? |

| I used an epee blade for about a year before I new about how to do armoury. That blade is now 2 years old, and the only one that is still around from my original epee blades.

| I had to bend the tang on a saber blade that was about a year old to fit the way I wanted into a different hilt.
*shrugs*
Mine seemed okay, but that's also a saber blade...

| Shouldn't be any more likely to break than when new, unless you've put a lot of shearing force on the tang already and it is weakened. Be careful not to pinch or stretch any wires or such you have on it. |

I would also advise against bending a 'leftie' blade to 'rightie', and vice versa. But that goes without saying, more or less.

| If you are bending it with a box wrench, don't be like stupid me and have the wires caught in between it all as you bend...
Unless you like soldering.
