Yet another SF role-play

Hi guys, I'm new on this part of the forum and I'd like to start my own roleplay. It takes place in space, on earth and on other planets in a style similar to that of Battlestar Galactica, however, instead of hostile robots,the enemy is a huge corporate entity(like OCP in Robocop). Also there are mecha style big robots like in Gundam,NG:E and Fullmetal Panic.
The only rule is:
The story will be written in a style like TechnoFencer's.

Formatting note:I may add a "*" at the top left of my story posts, any thing that comes after is the title of a song that I think best sets the mood for the chapter. Please feel free to do the same.

Epee Scherma..you are oh so correct. Fantasyland is full of silliness. You are welcome to it...or not. As one of the "founding mothers" of this portion of Fencing.net, I am proud of the many writers that have come and shared their talents. I have seen some that just blossomed in their writing endeavors with the help of the more experienced ones. My advice to you is to look a little deeper. There is more than a few silly stories here. There are dreams and that is something that cannot be taken away. There are people behind the stories with high ideals (yes their real character comes through in their writing).They are for the most part, fencers that still believe it is a "gentleman's" game. I salute Craig for having the patience over these years to put up with our silliness. He didn't have to do that.

Live...learn and dream and let others do so also.

It seems I jumped the gun a little bit, history plays a big part in this story so let me begin with a timeline.
Sorry it took so long.

• 2007:Meteor debris damages the International Space Station severely, though not irreparable, the respective governments pull out of the project due to economic limitations and political disagreements.
• 2008:The United Corporate Consortium bids to acquire the ISS and the various governments quickly agree, happy to recoup their losses.
  The UCC privately starts refitting the International Corporate Space Station, for "continued private research on colonization and mining".
• 2010:The UCC political party is formed.
• 2011:The UCC party enters the presidential running, their candidate is former CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York Maxwell F. Donnovan,his running-mate is an unknown entrepreneur named Samuel Meade.
• 2012:The UCC party fails to win the presidential election, however does secure a close second.
• 2014:The International Corporate Space Station is completed.
• 2015:The UCC takes another shot at the Presidency,using the same candidates as last time.
• 2016:The UCC wins the election by a large margin and Donnovan is sworn in.
• 2017:N. Korea launches a Tactical EMP at Tokyo. However due to lack of major casualties,The UN is slow to decide on an "appropriate" response.
  During this time N.K. storms S.K. decimating the country.
  USA makes a unilateral strike on N.K.,angering China,thus triggering the War of the Pacific Rim.
• (2017-2025:The War of the Pacific Rim drags on with heavy loses on all sides. In late 2025 the war is ended with a treaty.)
• 2026:President Donnovan steps down.
  The UCC disbands as a political party because of dwindling public support, though it maintains its corporate status.
  The UCC sets up operations, in the devastated Korean peninsula under a 'humanitarian' guise.Once again,they make significant purchases of property from grateful owners.
• 2030:NASA announces a manned mission to Mars and subsequent colony.
  NASA launches a colony ship to Mars.
  The UCC sheds its humanitarian guise and declares it self the Corporate Nation of Korea.The US contracts CNK to supply the Mars colony.
• 2035:The colony on Mars reaches a population of 2000.
  The CNK has become the richest country in the world.
• 2080:NASA announces the development of an unmanned probe equipped with a short range space warping drive.
• 2090:After 10 years of development, the first manned interplanetary spacecraft is launched
• 2100:NASA starts a colony on Ganymede, at the same time the CNK claims Phobos and Deimos for mining and restricts usage to "Licensed Countries"
• 2110:A mining expedition discovers a large colony of felineoid beings deep under the surface of Phobos. The beings,known as the Abis, decide to share their technologies with humanity. Seeing that they could make a profit the CNK decides to buy "exclusive rights" but the Abis would not 'sell'.
  The angered CNK try's to annex the Abis, killing many of them as well as irking the other nations.
  The rest of the U.N. attempt to punish The CNK.They, in retaliation, perform a "Hostile Takeover" of all nations
  During this 'takeover' many many people escape to the various moons of the solar system and form large colonys.
  The Plutocratic Government of Earth is formed
• 2191:The PGE launch a 'Dreadnought' torpedo at Ganymede colony totally decimating it, killing millions and sparking war.
• 2204:STORY BEGINS
