Here is a good place to start: http://www.usfencing.org/sectionsDivisions.jsp

It may be a good idea to hold off on buying your gear until you really get into it. Fencing really isn't all that similar to Zorro or Starwars, but it's still a lot of fun. In the meantime, feel free to use the search function as a first resource. Odds are, a lot of questions you want to ask have already been asked, though feel free to elaborate if you need something more specific. Otherwise, welcome to the boards, and to the sport.

Are you named after the band ulu? They make some solid acid jazz. Then again most everyone who plays at the knitting factory is talented to some degree or another.

Crazy funkified original acid jazz jams, with just enough guitar and morphing covers of songs we've all got engrained in our minds, the "Mario" theme and "Star Wars Cantina" into bombastic dynamic rythmic grooves are enough to insure ulu never leaves any of my playlists....

How much did you get paid for that?

Sadly nothing. Phaeton could use some spare cash at the moment. I just quite like their music.

now if I was talking about Torpedo Betty, similar acid jazz a friend of mine could be paying me for the publicity.
