| Is it possible to improve the search function? Perhaps I'm not just not using it right, but, for example, if I entered [+"Italian grip"] (without the brackets, obviously), I would expect to see only those posts which had the words "Italian" and "grip" right next to each other, only separated by a space.
What seems to be happneing today is that I would get any posts which had the words "Italian" and "grip" anywhere in them.
Also, when I enter a search using the phrasing above, the words I searched on are not highlighted.

| Use Google's advanced search rather than the built-in functionality here if you want things more complicated that f.net's advance search allows. Italian grip
("www.fencing.net/forums" as domain, "italian grip" as phrase)

| I agree. I use Google to search most websites as I find the search syntax easier to define. |

| I wonder if the google site search can be integrated into the forum as other websites have.

| There's no real reason why not it does however, require time and the necessary skill. I'm sure Craig has the skill but I am not sure I would consider it a pressing concern. |

| The search that should work would be +Italian +grip. Google search integrated would probably be better.
I should have a little time once Summer Nationals is over with. I'll put that on the "to do" list for when I get back to the site overhaul.
Just about every part of the site is due for a tune-up.

New entries opens the 'frame' for the actual entry and not within the journal layout. Also you need to back-browse to return to the main Journal page. - Photo Album section
The link to the forum section does not work. Again, back-browsing.
Cosmetics, perhaps, but it should be fairly easy to fix. I think. Thanks in advance.

| Uh oh. I sense another lengthy site closure coming.
