This is pretty funny. As funny as my emails? No. But funny none the less.

I like the "Crazy Jonnie" idea, but taking a realistic look at the Mercury Cup this year:

Across our 6 Mercury Cup events this year, our average event had 34 fencers with 11 A's. However, over these 6 seperate tournaments, we only had 5 total rating renewals (1 A, 1 B, 2 C's, 1 E) and only awarded a total of 2 new ratings (1 C and 1 E). How can 6 A2 events only result in the earning of 1 C and 1 E? The reason is because the A's who come to our events are high-end A's... and one would be hard pressed to find any non-NAC epee events in the USA that are as concentrated. So clearly your advertisement was way off.

Thanks again to everybody who competed. Hopefully events like this will give you the added experience and training you need to do well at the national level. Looking at results from the Metro division and nearby divisions, clearly they are.
