Welcome to fencing and to the forum. I hope you continue to enjoy it forever...the dance training should really help with your footwork and balance, and I predict you will improve quickly.

Thank you for the kind welcome. I have already found that I have an advantage over other new starters due to my dance training. I had put a suggestion on another forum about using dance as part of training for fencing as I think it would be extremely beneficial. I am teaching a fencer to dance and she has taken to it like a duck to water.

| A dance teacher! Something tells me there's a correlation between dancers, fencers, and marching band geeks. Though in my school, it can be explained by having the dance class take place next door to the fencing club. Anyways, Welcome.
