| Did I royally screw myself over? I sent in my USFA membership app for the remainder of the '05-'06 season a few days before registering for the Pomme de Terre (which is June 24-25). I received the little SAS confirmation card from the USFA postmarked May 23rd. I'd like to know how long, in anyone's experience, it takes to receive the membership packet in the mail. (I don't remember off the top of my head the time it took for my previous packets to arrive.) Is it really 4-6 weeks as the USFA claims? If so, I'm royally fcucked. And if I don't have my new card by the day of the event, what should I do about membership when I get to the Pomme venue? If possible, I'd like to not have to re-pay the $50.

| If possible, tell the USFA to get in touch with the tournament organizers, or vice versa. If worse comes to worse, they'll make you sign up for the USFA again, get your card info and when it comes time to process it after the tournament, they'll check if you're in the data base already or not, and if you are, they won't charge your card the second time or will refund the money if they have. |

| Just contact the very kind person in charge of membership and ask her to email you a letter of good standing. She has done this for me a couple of times. |

| Alternately, you could ask the tournament organizers to get from the Division Secretary a current list of USFA members for the Division, which you should be on. |

| Did you pay by credit card? Get your last bill statement or go online and check your recent transactions. Print out the charge from the USFA for membership and use that as your receipt. (As long as the bout committee will accept said print out as proof of payment for your membership.)

| It does take 4-6 weeks, sometimes longer, in my experience.
Of course, one time I got it in like 2 weeks, so you never know. |

| The only way you screwed yourself was by missing 11 months of competitions.
For PdT just follow smurfette's advice and get an email statement of membership. This is a routine process that the NO handles all the time.

She's really good about emailing these out right away. |

After the recent mess in our Section with non-USFA members competing in sanctioned events, I'm going to get a current roster from the USFA a couple of days before each of our future tournaments.

| Eh, it depends, my Coach gets his within two to three weeks, but when rating changes are sent in for me, it took almost two and a half months. So, c'est la vie! Don't worry about it, if they're really going to make a stink about it, like they already said,t here is roughly twenty different ways to show that you did in fact pay, other than that pretty little card. |
