Array Stabil 6 in stores? Does anyone know of a sporting goods or shoe store that carries the Stabil 6? I'd really like to try one on before buying it, but I'm having trouble finding a pair in either New Jersey or Rochester. I got my pair at the Decathlon sports store in Burlington, MA...
Every Decathlon I've been in has had them... see if there is one near you....
actually I take that back... looking at their website (http://www.decathlon-usa.com/) it appears they have four locations in MA, and thats it...
sorry for a useless post.

Array No worries, man; thanks for the info anyway; if all else fails I'll take a look next time I'm out that way. They also may be owned by a parent company. "If I were ever to challenge you to a duel, your best bet would be battle axes in a very dark basement." Misquoted from The Prisoner

Array City Sports has them, but not at all locations. Call ahead before you go. -

Array Sean, I just bought some myself. I didn't want to buy them until I tried them on either, and couldn't find them at any mainstream sporting goods place. In the end, I found them at JB's Tennis Shop, which is a small store in the area.
Look in the yellow pages for racquetball/tennis/squash equipment. There's probably a couple of places in Rochester.
(Incidentally, the Stabil's are OK, but I don't like them as much as my old Head racquetball shoes. Sadly, Head no longer makes shoes. ) "All things must pass. All things must fade away." - George Harrison -

Array Thanks, Chuck; I figure they'll be better than my new balance cross trainers, which are rather in need of retirement anyway. I'm thinking of also ordering a pair of equipments direct from uhlmann if I can swing it, but the money situation won't allow that for a little while. Array If you get into the city, try Paragon Sports on 19th/Broadway... They usually carry them. The Adidas store downtown, however, has not had them in stock for ever and ever.
I tried a pair at Paragon, but they didn't have the right size; That being said, I liked 'em so much, I just bought 'em directly from adidas.com. And yes, I still like 'em very much -

The Stabil 6s are nice and cushiony. As was mentioned in another thread, though, the sole and especially the heel are maybe a little TOO robust, and make my footwork somewhat more "deliberate." My Head shoes were almost perfect, but after a year, they just lost their bounce and support. "All things must pass. All things must fade away." - George Harrison -

Array Slightly off topic, does anyone know if the Century 21 in New York that found a bunch of pairs of Equipments sitting around a few months ago still has any? "If I were ever to challenge you to a duel, your best bet would be battle axes in a very dark basement." Misquoted from The Prisoner
