| Summer Nationals Event Times? Does anyone have any idea when the timetable will be available? USFA told me it would be on the website last week, but I haven't seen it yet. |

| I suspect they're waiting until after the late-entry deadline. The lists may well change drastically by then; it's happened before.

| Per the automated email that you get when you send something to Christine Simmons (or at least the one from yesterday) they expect to have things entered by tomorrow and the information (start times, entry lists) are expected to be available Thursday.

| I'm curious that they intend to post an athlete list before the last registration deadline. Also, the away message of yesterday states there were 800 entries left to process. Given nearly 2000 had been processed some time ago, are we looking at 3500 entries? 4000? Guesses? |

Go to FRED and you'll find all kinds of tournaments with entry lists posted prior to the last registration deadline. :)

| When someone finds the information posted please post a link.
I have trouble finding anything twice on their website unless it is on the front page. |

-B | Can be, but isn't, as history demonstrates. There seems to be something other than mere ability preventing timely updates and postings of information. The result is the same.

Of course in former years I also believe they posted periodically while processing the initial batch. I distinctly remember going to the site multiple times and watching events grow.
Whether or not that will happen this year and whether the new website makes such updates more or less likely are questions on which I won't speculate.

| Ok, This is just a little confusing. It says the times listed are the start times and that the events will start 30-60 minutes after the close of registrations. So, if it says an event starts at 7:00-8:00, does that mean checkin closes sometime between 6:00-7:00. What time will check in open, 4 am?
Not exactly the clearest of instructions....

| I would try and get there at least an hour and a half before the event starts. Because there's registration, body cord/mask check, warming up, etc. Although I do highly recommend getting there the day before and having your equipment checked, it's a huuuuuge stress relief.

| Yay! I have okay event times too.
Yeah, and also if your event is the first day the place will still be open to get your stuff checked, otherwise, I would also highly recommend coming in the night before (their usually open until seven or later, if an event runs late). Also, if the check in says 7:00 to 8:00 7 is the opening of checking, when you can first go to the table and get checked in, and 8 is the absolute last time you can do so. With that I would highly recommend also checking closer to 7 rather than 8, as it can become stressful if you put it off. I usually get there about an hour before it closes, or the opening time, in this case 7, to give time to warm up and make sure everything's ready. Finally, the tournaments not going to start at 8, you just have to check in by then. It never does...

I copied this from the top of the schedule. Bold emphasis is mine.
So it starts somewhere between 7-8?

| If you just go to the usfencing webpage you will notice that it states times have been posted for close of registration. so the times listed are all for registration not for fencing.
Team registration is a different animal |

| Ah, I see now. That wasn't very clear at the top of the schedule. It should have said that times for the team events are start times...
I was really dreading getting up at 5am to make a 6am checkin.....
