I have seen them in use (limited to foil and epee) at the NCAA finals in March. I would love to own one for epee use, but at the $299.00 asking price... My wife has no sense of humor about these things, I would be dead where I stand.

Ron.

I love the fact that some manufacturers are using the reduced target area as a selling point for the sabre masks. The way I see it they're selling it based on the premise that it violates the rules and shouldn't be allowed in competition.

Can someone post the link to that funny webpage that lampoons the Lexan masks? I used to have it, but switched computers here at work, and no longer have the URL.

Funny, VERY funny!

Seriuosly though, we have some small colored clear mask at our salle. We use them with the very little kids.

On the other hand, my coach put one on one day and came at me. It was so funny I couldn't fence. Maybe that is the point. Distract your opponent with a goofy mask and move in for the kill.

How about wearing a funny or scary latex rubber mask inside your lexan mask to distract your opponent. Say maybe a Richard Nixon face or some other EX president. Should distract them for a point or two.
