If it's bending the tang, your best bet is to ask your coach.
But if you really want to do it, but the tang in a vise, making sure there is some space between the vise and the beginning of the blade. Then bend the blade a little bit so it points down and towards your non-weapon hand, imagining that you're fencing with it. Make sure you do it gradually. Bend it until it feels right for you. |
