| Problems With MY Barrel Somehow, my barrel has completely rusted, making it almost impossible to land flicks, heck i can't even land a frickin stop hit! Thhis is driving me up the wall. I think even the inside has rusted. Any advice on removing rust on the inside of the barrel? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

| If you have a Dremel tool then you can get a ball sander and remove the rust, or you can fit a Q-tip on the Dremel chuck and put just a little bit of rust remover on the tip to get some rust off. If nothing works you could always replace the barrell.

| Replace the barrel if it's rusted, it's not worth saving. You might spend hours trying to polish it up, and still decide to replace it, as it might not ever travel properly again. More importantly, it could cause your blade to rust as well.
The real question is, how do you store your Epee? |

| If you have true evidence of rust, its time to replace it.
The cost of replacing your tip completly on your blade is not very high when you think of loosing touches with it at a meet.

Gary Spruill | Or if the rust damages the barel to the point where it breaks...then you have a nice spike at the end.
Rewire and replace....best course of action. |

| I also would suggesting replacing it. I would like to point out that the rust on the inside has nothing to do with the electrical conductivity of the Epee. The only affect is it makes the inside rough making it harder to make hits. Getting rid of the rust will only leave pits, so cleaning out the barrel, does not help that much.
