Array Man, just reading about this camp makes me almost wish I were a sabre fencer. RebelFencer's Awesome Quote of the Week:

Array Is the camp going to be a joint effort "National Training Camp" situation like last year?
Is Ed Korfanty going to be there too?
Inquiring minds want to know.

The Momster That is the goal. Or rather we want to get together as many interesting fencers as we can. Because, as you probably know, it is not the coaches who make or break the camp, but fencers. Whether we are going to achieve it or not depends on money, politics, etc.
Ed Korfanty will not be here this summer since he is doing beginners camps in Oregon. But, as russians have it "holy spot is never empty for long"

Don't you hate politics??? What a load of doo doo. They get in the way of everything and make fencing a more difficult sport. It is so unneccessary.
My kid really wants to go again. We are working on it.

This year camp promises to be even better that the last one. First of all, we have absolutely beautifull new club we are extremely proud off, second, we are using GaTech as our base (everything but actual fencing) and GaTech has a lot to offer. Third, Sada Jacobson and David Douville are going to help Maestro Burdan with instructions. Fourth, we have a ton of people from last year participating, so they will know each other right from the start.
Come and play with us! -
If I weren't a poor college student I'd be there in a heartbeat, but I'll definitely recommend it to all of those at the club younger than me and still living on mom and dad's tab. I now dangle to the left....my tassle. Get your minds out of the gutter.

Actually we might need some adult chaperones. Will anybody be interested?
Of course you'll get your tuition and accomodations paid.

Come and play with us! Very nice that you have GaTech on board. Are you going to be utilizing any of their sport physiology group? (Saw a story about some of the visual reaction training and other stuff they are researching.)

Array hello...
this camp sounds really interesting, is it for people who already know how to saber fence, or can anyone come?
if it's just for saber, does anyone know any camps where you can [U]learn saber?
thanks! -
elise,
this is a really intensive competitive camp. Most of the campers have been fencing for years. Do you have any fencing experience in other weapons? Anyway, send me an e-mail at info@nellyafencers.com. You can definitely learn some sabre here, no doubt about that.
