| s2000 question I have a LP France (name of blade I beleive) sabre. The s2000 symbol is only marked on with paint, and is now (after only 6 months of use) being scratched off from general wear and tear. My question is this, if after time the S200 logo becomes completly scratched off how will I be able to prove it is a s2000 blade if asked at competitions. I understan many other blades do not have this same problem as the s2000 mark is indented into the blade.

| Very few, that I've noticed. And if the S2000 is gone, you'd have to prove (somehow) the suitability of the blade. I'd look into another blade if you're really worried about it.

| Is this blade particularly flexible? I can't say I've ever seen someone challenge the flexibility of a sabre fencer's blade, and ask to see a stamp. The only competitions where I'd imagine this might come up should also be the competitions where they'd have the means to actually test the flexibility of the blade.
When you see someone with a pre-2000 blade, it is usually quite apparent. I doubt you'll have a problem with this blade. Plus, it'll probably break before the rest of the 2000 wears off. |
