Problems regarding a LP epee blade

recentlly purchased a wired LP standard epee blade; during installation, it had trouble going the hole on one of my bell guards mainly due to the shealth on the wire.
oddly enough this only happened to my german bell guards, while BG ones are ok since their holes are bigger. But since the german bell guard works fine with my Vinity FIE so I took a detailed look at the tang of both blades. I found out that on the Vinity FIE (actually on BF, STM, too, when I took a detailed look at those), its grove extends to the rectangular section (right after the blade before the thread) of the tang so the wire can sit in there, while the LP blade dosent have a such grove. This grove enable the tang goes through a really tight hole on bell guards.
Anyone has similar problems? Is LP blades the only ones that doesnt have a grove on the rectangular section of the tang? I really hope that in future product, LP can add it such grove. but other than that, I have had great experience with this new LP blade.

Here is a simple solution:
Remove the plastic insulation from the two wires. Run the wires through the bell guards and onto the tangs. Make sure not to crimp the wires on the bell guard. Also, make sure the wires fit in the very small grove on/in the bell guard. Now,,,put the insulation back on the wires.

Your done.

should I glue the wire down though, since it may possibly shorts with the bell guard

Your other option is to use a round file to enlarge the groove in the guard. This allows the wire to fit through the guard with the insulation intact and reduces the chance of causing a short. (this does of course mean that you have modified the guard and there will be ab bit of a gap if you swap back to other blades.)
