Array Injuries (actually, lack of them, but whatever) OK, I have a pretty general question.
Here's the scenario: my sister has this disease in her knees, which is basically when the bones grow faster than the tendons/ligaments whatever do. so she has been out of commision for sports for a few months now (she had to quit soccer and hockey). a few days ago she fell off my sk8board onto our friends' lawn and sprained her wrist, or possibly broke it. she is constantly getting injured or hurt or something, even thought she can't do any sports.
I am doing fencing, obviosly, and am always doing crazy things like wading barefoot in swampy lakes and therefore impaling myself on branches, or playing football or slide-tackle soccer or diving for bases in kickball, etc. yet i almost never seem to get hurt. she does practically none of this because of her knees.
what is up with that? is there some sort of reason for her getting the lions share of injuries, or am i just wicked lucky and one day will just break a leg or something for no apparent reason?
*same deal with immune systems. i'm the only one in our family who hasn't been sick in at least 3 years. but that's another story...* Fencing: Violence is a way of life!!

Array Some people are naturally prone to injuries. Also, one injury tends to lead to another. "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. And from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. Dinosaurs nuzzling their young in pastures where strip malls should be. Cookies on dowels. All those moment, lost in time. Gone, like eggs off a hooker's stomach. Time to die" -Phil Ken Sebben -

Array All of her life's little injuries are spread out. You will probably lead an injury-free life for the most part until it comes at you all at once and you're hit by jumbo jet while strolling along on the sidewalk. The solution to your problem is to fence another weapon. -

Array Or run over by a submarine.
Trust me.

It happens. I would rather die a spectacular death than in my sleep. ANYTHING WOULD DO! A mauling by a bear would be good, too. Treat your mask like you treat your woman. Get inside her five times a day, take her to the piste and back! -

Array I broke me ankle 4 times in a year when I was in kindergarden/first grade and was so sick throughout that time that I got an operation. I haven't gotten injured once since then with the exception of a paper cut every once in a while and I don't think I have gotten sice in about 6 or 7 years. Weird things happen. -
