| Collusion, unfair seeding and American international prospects...oh, and they're not even talking about fencing! Sports Illustrated on US chances getting out of E alive.
Question: Which US team will play the Czechs next week: counter-attackers (vs. Mexico '02) or flechers (vs. Portugal '02)? Obviously not all the same players, but we have more returning than almost everyone else. I think Arena will bring it.
The U.S. cannot tie their way through this group - it's going to be all or nothing and I'm really looking forward to it! |

I'm not saying Latinos are the only ones who dive, but rather that it is an unfortunate facet of the exciting flair that they bring to the game. Bebeto's name didn't only refer to his child-like frame and features, but was also an oblique reference to his acting skills... |

20 minutes! | Yes, but that's not as personal a spoiler...
Whenever I tape a game to watch after work I almost never get to watch it without knowing the score because everyone else who follows the games at work spoils it for me (I think it's a cultural thing - they want to know what the score is Right Now!). I'm just trying to be vexing because F1's going to Germany... lucky stiff! |

And since noone on this board knows how to get in touch with me IRL right now (no cell, no IM, unknown email), |

| 1-1 after 15 minutes.
Lahm with an amazing goal into the top corner from the edge of the area.
Wanchope equalises with a through ball that looks for all the world to be offside, but wasn't, and we're level! |

| Yellow card to Costa Rica (Fonseca).
No goals for over fifteen minutes now. I was reckoning the final would be something like 11-5 Germany at the rate they were going.
