| mostly, i think that it is personal preference. the two are basically interchangeable, for maybe 15% there is a better fit for one of the other. it can't simply be explained from long limbed vs. stocky, but that is usually how i explain it.. i am not particularly skinny--though i have shed a few pounds now that i am competing again--but i prefer the allstar cut. i'm probably of average height, but my legs and arms are slightly longer than average. which is great for arrays
then, i decided this in college over 10 years ago and haven't revisited the uhlmann cut. i still like allstar, so i haven't had a reason to do so. |

| I must say, however, that while both Uhlmann and Allstar seem to be of much enfatuation here in the states, UHLMANN uniforms are quite overrated. I have found that the details in the tailoring seem to be quite overlooked. In fact, if you watch fencers who wear Uhlmann WC pants made between 2002-2004, you will see them frequently rezipping their pants... This is because of the velcro. This problem is one amongst many with the Ulhmann uniforms.
I have never owned an Allstar, so I really cannot comment on those... Though, I have heard stories.
While I hope to not start a trend only to find myself amidst the crowd, I must say that I have decided recently to only buy Negrini clothing... The Italians know clothes! While the Germans are much better engineers for masks and the like. |

| Holden, its not the germans that rock, its the chinese.
FenceWithFun is gonna be the next major uniform, I almost guarantee.
