Maybe you don't see what I mean. Try this:
Put on a glove and point at a clock. The cuff closes in a clockwise direction. I would like one that closes in a counter-clockwise direction. | So... just make the gloves so the velcro overlaps in the other direction. That's a great idea! I wonder why nobody thought of it before.

| I'm not sure. I got it on Ebay and it works great...an ugly pale blue color that I wouldn't mind changing. I've trive Leon Paul's glove and that's what I'm getting next.

I was looking at getting some made up in pink, but didn't want to go for the minimum from the glove mfr. for an offbeat color.
Now, maybe if you got a the red and washed it with a little bleach...

| Any chance you'll be getting any Armor One gloves with a White cuff? The gloves sound great, but the blue/red forearm is a bit much for me. (plus, it would clash with my spiffy orange socks ) |

| Examining what I own, apparently I buy the Ragged Rag brand. The smelly one. I'm going to look at Craig's in Atlanta.

I COULD have the glove made in white, but I'm reserving that color for thre Armor 800 when I get it perfected...and that's primarily because teh material won't take a dye job. |

| It may surprise everyone to know that I have a Triplette glove with reduced slip rubbery stuff. Gloves tend not to last so long so I got one to see how it went. I'm quite happy - and it was cheap as well.
I do need a new glove at present. |

| As a pommeling epeeist, sticky-pad gloves are right out. if you're using the only grip where it's permissable to shift your hand around during fencing (or at all, really), why throw away that ability?
I use the absolute $10 glove. And love it. |

| How much shifting around actually gets done? I watched several epeeists using posted French grips at Nationals this week, and they all kept the pommel end in a death grip from start to finish while fencing...

I just replaced my glove with the $10 FDN glove, and it is freakin awesome.

| My point was that I never see ayone actually move their grip on a French while fencing. Which is supposed to be the whole point of using one, no? Or is the idea solely to get another couple of inches of reach? In which case why not just get a pistol grip made with a looong section between the hand and the guard?

French is the only grip where the thumb can be more than 2 cm from the inside of the guard, pad included.
Except for Sabre.
