| HOM Fencing 800 Newton Glove I use this glove. I have had 2 of them because it is so good that one was stolen from me at the RENO NAC. It may have been picked up inadvertently though. I was around a bunch of different people and their bags were all open etc. Sam was kind enough to send another.
Very few people have this glove. Whoever has it Please contact me.
This is simply the best glove out there. No more kittle cuts on the knuckles from whipovers. The whole glove is 800 newtons. except for aa few areas.
Sam is currently revising this glove to make it entirely 800 newtons. It will then be perfect!!!!!

PS: When the final version comes out I will review it at that time to give it the Fat Seal of Approval |

| Happily awaiting an ETA for it.
(There was a fellow at the tournament today with a nearly toxic glove. He said he couldn't replace it because he wanted a CE 2 rated glove, and Leon Paul had stopped making theirs. I hope he buys the first Armor800 available.) |

I am intrigued by this glove, but it has one design "flaw": the velcro-closure wraps from underneath. Pretty much every glove with a velcro cuff has this same feature, and it drives me nuts when I use a prime or seconde parry and the tail-end of my pistol grip gets caught on it.
Maybe there is some advantage to this closure that I am unaware of, but I don't know what it might be. I just wish someone would make a glove where the velcro closes in the other direction.

| Right now a FencingPost glove. I love how it feels, but the durability is crap (got it at Houston and it has holes all over). In all fairness though it was 18 bucks. I saw one of the HOM gloves at an AFC tournament and liked the look of it, but thought it was a bit bulky for epee'. I'm gonna definately see the different sizes and stuff though at Sumer Nationals and possibly buy one that isn't as bulky.

Maybe you don't see what I mean. Try this:
Put on a glove and point at a clock. The cuff closes in a clockwise direction. I would like one that closes in a counter-clockwise direction.

| How about a glove that doesnt open or close, but instead, conforms to the sleeve of your arm? A lycra type material.

Lycra wouldn't provide much protection, I would think.... |

Lycra wouldn't provide much protection, I would think.... | Last time I checked, the cuff wasnt really for providing penetration protection, but for protecting the blade from going up into the sleeve. My jacket is what provides the protection. What if the sleeve was made out of an underarmorish material?

That's one reason I put the foam padding into the cuff...impact protection primarily, plus a little bit more in the way of a blade.
As for underarmor...dunno.... |

Well, it was an epee fencer that was using it, so you should ask him how it stands up for epee.

My Physical Chess glove does the same thing; drives me nuts every time I parry prime because of the lovely ripping velcro sound I get...
