| Introducing myself Hello to everyone..
I've been fencing for a little over a year at the local college, usually a class of 12 or less wich is really nice..
I just turned 37 but better to start later than never..
I started out fencing right handed but had problems with one of my knees and didnt want to quit so I tried it left handed... luckily it was early enough to where I never really learned anything right handed, now fencing left handed feels totally natural.

| Good for you for not giving up! I too am a righty who often fences lefty because of health problems. It can be weird, but as you've seen, doesn't really take all that long to get used to.
Welcome to the forum! |

| Welcome. I'm a righty, but since one of the quirks of the Italian grip is that it's ambidexterous, I dabble in lefty a bit. My footwork is actually better as a lefty.

| Oddly I just fenced left handed for the first time the other day at one of my clubs practices. No real reason for it though.
My body was so confused...... |

My body was so confused...... | I know the feeling... I tried going back to fencing right handed a while ago just to see how awkward it would feel.. It didnt take me long to go back to being a lefty...
