On the leonpaul.com website they're actually the same price as the Paul France and more expensive than the Etoile

I'm wondering if these are the first blades to be developed in the States by LP? Maybe there's been some sort of pricing confusion because it's a new item, and it's either been overpriced for you guys or underpriced for the US. I don't think it's developed stateside, because everything I've ordered from Leonpaulusa is shipped from the UK. It just seems to me like a way to cash in on the rainbow blade fad. There's some kind of stamp on it that doesn't look like the usual Leon Paul logo. Mildly vexing. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I am will come along and clear things up. -
From a purely technical point of view: the moment of inertia varies dramatically between a rectangular profile and a Y-profile sabre. The rectangular profile is much flimsier than the traditional Y-profile, obviously. -

I think we may need Barry or Alex to clarify this...I doubt they're being made here. A blade forge anywhere in the Americas would be huge news to armorers or vendors...especially if it was in the US. To my knowledge, there are no forges over here. -
So relating to the previous discussion with Ryan...I just found a company that sells saber guards for $US 5 (and some change) and blades for about $10, complete practice weapons (with everything but the socket and guard cover) for $18 and complete electric weapons for $31...oh and sockets for $3 and change. I now dangle to the left....my tassle. Get your minds out of the gutter.
