| May I register a team for USFA Nationals without listing team members? My club qualified and intends to fence at least one of the team events. We have not decided exactly who is going to be fencing on the team. I seem to remember in the past that I could turn in the registration form without listing any team members and just indicate who would be fencing on my team the day before the team event at Nationals.
This year, the registration form asks me to indicate who will be fencing on the team if I know. I can guess, and fill in four names. I might have to change them later. Would it be better simply to leave it blank? Am I still allowed just to leave it blank?
I looked in the Athlete's Handbook and on the USFA Nationals registraion forms, but I didn't find a definite answer. Does anyone know the answer or where I should look to find the answer myself?
Thanks. |

And in case you are nervous, many of the stronger clubs (like NYAC) wait to review the results of the individual event before listing their team event.
It can affect the team seeding.

It can affect the team seeding. | Yeah. That's how I remembered it from previous years. Check in by 3 p.m. the day before the event with the final team roster. I just thought that the team registration form used to be more explicit about those rules.
Thanks. |

It can affect the team seeding. | Word I've heard is that in the future, Individual results may not be used to seed the teams any longer. We'll see how that goes!
